From New Hampshire to Wisconsin and down to Florida, most of our team saw frigid temps and even snow (sorry Floridians 😰) in January. Even our West Coast friends donned sweaters and beanies.
But now, we're seeing the hope of average weather and temps ahead. Sometimes in our coldest days, we have to hold on to hope no matter how hard it is. And isn't that also true in business?
Hopefully your Q1 isn't an Arctic wasteland. But if it's not great, we can still hold out hope... and then get to work making that hope a reality. It's in that hopeful spirit that we offer this edition of Impulse Insights. From reports to predictions to education and beyond, we're ready to grow smarter with you.
If someone asked you what your brand's personality is, would you know how to respond?
Your brand’s personality helps you to form powerful connections with your customers. This helps them relate to, and admire, your shared characteristics and values. That’s why you need a clear idea of your brand’s motivations as well as what drives your audience.
After all, you can’t make deep connections without truly understanding the shared vision and desires of your brand and your customers. One fun way to do this is to use archetypes in your marketing to personify your brand’s personality and the personalities of your target audience. Learn more in our linked resource above!

WHAT WE'RE WATCHING
Belonging: A Critical Piece
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion leads to a better world. Carin Taylor says Belonging adds even more value.
We've all heard presentations about the importance of DEI. From diversity of experience to building a bigger community, DEI initiatives benefit businesses.
In her TEDx talk, Carin Taylor shares why belonging is the focus of her DEI strategy, and the most important piece of the DEI discussion. She outlines the key ingredients needed to belong and how to create them.
As one commenter points out, belonging is a critical, yet often overlooked, aspect of DEI.
Diversity focuses on the presence of different identities and perspectives. That's a good first step. Equity then ensures that everyone has access to opportunities and resources. Inclusion ensures we're inviting, not just checking a box.
Belonging is what makes those individuals feel truly valued and accepted. Without a sense of belonging, diverse and equitable environments can feel performative, and inclusion remains superficial.
Donald Kelly and the team at The Sales Evangelist put out some great training content. In particular, Donald's podcast is full of insight from him and guests he brings on. This is a show for sales, but aren't we all in sales?
The Office has become comfort content for multiple generations. And now, there's a whole new way to watch: Superfan Episodes! And couldn't we all use a break sometimes? In this episode of their podcast, Angela and Jenna interview the guy behind this new "version" of a beloved show: Editor Dave Rogers.
You still have a couple of days left (based on when we sent the newsletter) to get in on a HubSpot AMA for marketers!

As a long-time HubSpot user 15 years!) I always find a takeaway in these conversations.
From GIFs to emojis to TikToks and beyond, we're always climbing Meme Mountain. 🤔 Whatever that means. 🤷 The point: We love our internet culture. Here's something from the team recently.
A new team member, Vanessa, shared the recipe for "Herbed Garlic Butter Naan" in our #recipes channel and got us all discussing food styles, fusion recipes, and how hungry we all were. Here's the recipe in case you're hungry.
