The first thing I want to acknowledge is the loss in the business world— and the world at large— of Tony Hsieh, co-founder and retired CEO of Zappos. Tony changed the world. Seeing posts from around the world on his impact reminded me that business doesn't have to be brutal.
Saying that Tony Hsieh “revolutionized the shoe business” misses the point entirely.
He revolutionized the being human in business business.
As Adam Grant tweeted, you will be missed Tony. "You proved that we don't have to choose between kindness and success, that delivering happiness can make us happy, that weirdness is not so weird— it's actually wonderful."
