No one needs to tell you how important it is to build relationships to get sales, but the purchase is only the beginning. After you’ve wowed them into a sale, then what? Hopefully, they keep coming back, of course! So, how to do make sure they remember your brand when they’re ready to purchase again? This is where a fantastic email marketing campaign comes into play. Your customers are less likely to stop using your product if you remind them why you’re so great. Here are a few simple ways to keep your emails out of the spam folder and into the attention of those on your email recipient list:
Make Sure your Message Has a Specific Goal. It only takes a few emails that waste the reader’s time before they’re unsubscribing from your list. Use actionable language to tell the reader exactly what the next step should be. You want to earn their business when they’re ready, so get them ready- without being pushy. This can be something like “Download This Webinar” or ‘Sign Up for a Free Trial”. Make it unique and specific to your brand, but include exciting verbs likely to illicit a response.
Create Engaging Subject Lines. An email is only as successful as its subject line. If it doesn’t pop, the reader won’t open it in the first place and your best email goes nowhere. Use powerful words that pique interest, and don’t be afraid to experiment. Trying something out of the box may be the perfect way to attract viewers.
Address it Personally. People want to read e-mails from other people, not machines. Don’t only include their name, but yours too! By putting your name and reputation on the line, you are automatically taking a crucial step toward building trust.
While some may think of their business emails as easy and free marketing, clever marketers know there is actually much more to it than this. Your repeat customers want to be treated like more than just a marketing list, they are people who want to be contacted by other people! Turning a repeat customer into an evangelist for your brand and reducing client churn should be every savvy marketer’s goal.
By sending the right type of email at the perfect time, you’re much more likely to be viewed positively by the recipient and stay out of the trash bin.
