Peloton's Struggles: Bad Market or Marketing?
AI & The Human Element: Replace Your Fear
Elite Performance: Be Honest with Yourself
Cats Teach Us About Product Features Versus User Needs
Hey again my friend!
HubSpot Academy keeps dropping new certifications. Generative AI tools keep popping up in our tech stack. Some software tools get glitches and the support is nonexistent. Clients need help. Teammates want to collaborate.
This seems like a lot. And it is. But it's all part of why I love what I do and where I do it. Stress can become toxic. But it can also drive us to be more innovative and open to opportunities. For me, that looks like finding new resources to upskill my training, working with amazing teammates, and finding ways to take in new information in an efficient way.
What does the weekly stress do to sharpen your mind and spirit? And how do you balance that with self-care? I'd love to know!
In the meantime, let's get into the resources the Impulse Creative team has shared lately. On with the show!

WHAT WE'RE READING
Peloton's Struggles: Bad Market or Marketing?
Peloton's popularity exploded during the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic. We were all in our homes, gyms were shut down, and we needed an outlet.
But the company hasn't made a net profit since December 2020. The brand lost its CEO after just two years, and expects connected fitness members for the year to be between 2.96 million and 2.98 million. That's 30,000 fewer members from the prior forecast.
Once valued at over $50 billion, the company is now worth just over $1 billion. In this resource from The Drum, we're left with the question of what went wrong. What do you think? Bad marketing or bad market?
Dalida Arakelian, a Content Producer at LinkedIn Learning, recently launched a newsletter based on her conversations with thought leaders in artificial intelligence creating content with her at LinkedIn.
In this first edition, she explores how to replace fear with curiosity, in conversation with media production leader and visionary, Fiona Trayler.
(Dan here) I found this interesting article in my LinkedIn feed. I love how we can be fully human on various platforms, and it's all part of our work-life "balance," or harmony. Our feeds don't have to be filled with LinkedIn broetry and crypto-hype.
If you're someone who works on their sobriety in a society that seems to revolve around "getting beers" and hosting happy hours, this might resonate. And hey, keep being your full, authentic self out there.
Finding Your Audience: What You Can Learn From Stanley
The HubSpot Marketing YouTube team breaks down the Stanley Tumbler story for everyday brands.
The Stanley story isn't new. But it's something we can revisit with a new perspective from time to time. It's often difficult to see our everyday brand in the story of a nationally-celebrated viral episode and apply to our "regular" business.
In this HubSpot Marketing video, they lay out the Stanley story and how the company turned its underperforming product into a $750 million viral hit. If you're a marketer looking to learn from real-world triumphs, this is a story we could all use to inspire us.
I recently had the chance to team back up with my former coworker George, along with Devyn and Liz on their show. We previewed #INBOUND24, my panel, and the community around this incredible event. Check out our conversation on the HubHeroes podcast! (And yes, they cartooned me as Wolverine!)
Unveiling Elite Performance Through Self Awareness and Honesty
Bernie Borges is speaking to all of us past our "young and foolish" stage and entering new eras. In this episode of Midlife Fulfilled, Bernie and Art Turock explore elite performance and how you get to define yours. Spoiler alert: it's dependent on you being honest with yourself.
As generative AI seeps into nearly every aspect of our lives, particularly marketing, sales, and service, it can feel like a lot. HubSpot specifically keeps adding AI tool and it can be difficult to keep up.
Rachel S recently shared this nerdy resource to help us all. It's a great example of how simple can sometimes be the best route. Explore at your leisure!
From GIFs to emojis to TikToks and beyond, we're always climbing Meme Mountain. ๐ค Whatever that means. ๐คท The point: We love our internet culture. Here's something from Matt on our team recently. Dang this resonates...
