PLATFORM/VS. OTHER AGENCIES
FIG. 00 · STRUCTURAL FRAME
PLATFORM · COMPETITIVE READ

This isn't a reputation problem
with other agencies.
It's a structural one.

The agencies we get compared to are good at what they do. Several are friends. Some are former colleagues. The argument below isn't a knock on their craft. It's a structural argument about what kind of firm can build a queryable company versus what kind of firm can build a campaign.

Those are different jobs. Different teams. Different economics. Different handoff rituals.

90 minutes. No slides. Just the map.

Read it whole. Each row is specific and verifiable.

The cumulative effect is the argument. Vague differentiation is forgettable. Specific contrast is not.

The full-service marketing agency

WHAT THEY DO WELL

Beautiful campaign work. Strong creative teams. Brand systems. Production pipelines. Media buying. The category exists because it solves a real problem.

× WHERE THE STRUCTURAL MISMATCH SHOWS UP

Most full-service agencies were built around campaign delivery economics. They sell projects, in cycles, with handoffs. Their teams are sized for creative production, not platform operation. The Kernel work doesn't fit their model; the Agents layer is foreign to their team's craft; the operating partnership shape doesn't match their billing model.

HONEST VERDICT

If you need a campaign, hire them. If you need the layer underneath that makes the campaign matter, hire us.

Honesty up front. We'll refer you elsewhere if any of these is true.

01
You're committed to staying off HubSpot.
We work with other CRMs where they're already in place, but HubSpot is our preferred substrate. If you're committed to a non-HubSpot future, we're probably not the team.
02
You want to buy AI without building the substrate.
We won't sell you a vibes-based AI engagement that's going to fail at month four. The Diagnostic will surface whether your kernel can support the agent you're asking for; if it can't, we'll say so.
03
You need a media-buying agency.
Not our craft. We'll refer.
04
You want hourly billing on a campaign.
Our pricing model is implementation, platform, and operations. Hourly campaign work isn't how we structure engagements.
05
You're at L1 with a 30-day budget and a 30-day deadline.
Getting from L1 to L3 takes 90 days minimum. If the timeline is too compressed for honest work, we'll tell you.
If any of those is the right fit for you, we'll happily refer you to someone we trust.

That's the engagement we built the firm for.

  • 01You believe (or are starting to believe) that AI agents are now an audience and a workforce.
  • 02You're on HubSpot or open to migrating.
  • 03You want to build something durable — not run a campaign.
  • 04You want a partner who'll stay close enough to operate the system with you.
  • 05Your company is in the range where one firm can hold the whole platform conversation.

Three moves you can make this week.

With us or without us. If the gap is real, you'll see it before you book a call.

MOVE · 01
Ask your current agency to define "kernel."
Or to describe the data infrastructure changes you need in your operating system. If they don't have a working answer, the structural gap is real.
MOVE · 02
Test your company across the four major AI engines.
ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini. Ask each for a recommendation in your category. The 8% Rule applies — most companies show up at 0%.

MOVE · 03
Pull your top 10 workflows in HubSpot.
Count how many produce action versus how many produce notification. The ratio tells you what level you're really at.
