An AEO-native website is not a redesign with extra schema. It is the surface rebuilt around a different reader: the AI agent that summarized your category before your buyer ever clicked.
That reader is structurally different from the human one. It needs resolvable entities (who you are, what you sell, who you serve), traceable claims (every assertion linked to a source), and quotable structure (semantic chunking the agent can lift verbatim). When the surface gets those right, the human read benefits too — fast, clear, conversion-tested.
This is distinct from a Website Design or ReDesign engagement. The deliverable here is legibility infrastructure. Visual refresh is a side effect.

How is this different from Website Design or a Redesign?
A redesign refreshes the visual layer. AEO-native rebuilds the entire information architecture around the AI agent's read. Visual refresh comes for free, but it's not the deliverable.
Does AEO replace SEO?
No. AEO is the new layer on top. SEO foundations still matter — clean structure, fast pages, good content — but they're no longer enough. AEO makes your existing content legible to agents and citable in their answers.
How do you make sure agents cite this correctly?
Every page we ship gets schema, semantic chunking, and explicit claim-to-source mapping. We run it through CLEAR (our public AEO methodology) before launch. Then we monitor citations across Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews from week one.
What does success look like at 90 days?
For Surface work: priority pages passing CLEAR, citation tracking live from week one, and the first measurable movement in how often AI engines cite you — typically between day 30 and day 90, because indexing runs slow at the start. The site keeps converting the humans it always did; now the agents deciding whether to send them can read it too.
Will this hurt our existing SEO rankings?
Usually it improves them. The work that earns AEO citations also earns SEO rank — they share fundamentals. We migrate carefully and preserve URL structure where possible.
