Website Design.
Built for humans. Cited by agents.
Your website is no longer just where buyers land. It is the public interface of your company — the surface AI agents read first to decide whether to recommend you. We build sites that pass on both reads.
Website Design is a Layer 01 service.
Every service we offer maps to one of four layers. Website Design sits in the Surface — the layer that owns websites & customer portals.
A website that both audiences can read.
The buyer who clicks your site is not the only audience anymore. Their AI agent reads it first — sometimes hours before the human ever clicks through. If the agent can't parse your claims, can't resolve your entities, can't cite a source for the price or the integration list, you're invisible to the audience that decided whether to surface you in the first place.
We treat the site as a queryable surface: schema on every page, structured claim-to-source mapping, semantic chunking that an LLM can quote without paraphrasing. The same architecture humans see as a fast, beautiful, conversion-tested website is what the agent reads as your company's position paper.
Most agencies stop at the human read. We ship for both audiences in the same build.
The process.
Discover · audit + AEO baseline
We crawl your current site the way an LLM would. Score every page against CLEAR (our public AEO methodology). Map what your competitors get cited for that you don't. You keep the audit whether or not we ever work together.
Expose · architecture + content modeling
We define the entity graph (who you are, what you sell, who you serve), the claim-to-source map, and the schema layer. This is what makes the site quotable, not just readable.
Wire · build, schema, MCP feed
Pages built against the design system. Every claim traced to a source in HubSpot or your CMS. MCP connector goes live so external agents can query the same data your site renders.
Operate · citation tracking + quarterly re-audit
Citation monitoring starts the day we ship. Every quarter we re-run CLEAR and rerank you against your top competitors. Every month we add the pages your competitors don't have.
What "done" looks like.
You finish with a site your sales team can show, your reports can measure, and your buyers' agents can cite by name.
Things people ask before booking.
Does AEO replace SEO?
No. AEO is the new layer on top. Your SEO foundation still matters — clean structure, fast pages, good content — but it's no longer enough. AEO is what makes your existing content legible to agents and citable in their answers.
Can you work on top of our existing CMS?
Usually yes. We have shipped CLEAR-passing builds on HubSpot CMS, Webflow, WordPress, and Next.js. The MCP connector is platform-agnostic. The work that has to happen on the CMS itself is content modeling and schema.
How do you make sure agents cite this correctly?
Every page we ship gets schema, semantic chunking, and explicit claim-to-source mapping. We run it through CLEAR (our public AEO methodology) before launch. Then we monitor citations across Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews from week one.
What does success look like at 90 days?
For Surface work: priority pages passing CLEAR, citation tracking live from week one, and the first measurable movement in how often AI engines cite you — typically between day 30 and day 90, because indexing runs slow at the start. The site keeps converting the humans it always did; now the agents deciding whether to send them can read it too.
Can you work alongside our existing agency?
Often, yes. We frequently handle Layer 03 (Kernel — paths, automation, reporting) while another shop owns Layer 02 (brand & content). The Diagnostic is the cleanest way to scope where we plug in without stepping on anyone's work.
See how website design fits into The Surface.
The diagnostic starts where your buyers do: we walk your live site the way an AI engine reads it, then spend 90 minutes showing you exactly where the surface layer leaks. No slides — just your pages on the screen and a fix list in priority order.
