FIG. 01 · OVERVIEW

A bolted-on chatbot is not a conversational interface. We design chat-first surfaces backed by your kernel — surfaces where the user asks a real question and gets a real answer, with human handoff only when a human is actually needed.

FIG. 02 · WHERE IT LIVES

Conversational UI Patterns is a Layer 01 service.

Every service we offer maps to one of four layers. Conversational UI Patterns sits in the Surface — the layer that owns websites & customer portals.

LAYER 01
CONVERSATIONAL UI PATTERNS LIVES HERE
The Surface
Websites & customer portals
Public interface — read by humans, agents, AEO crawlers.
LAYER 02
The Voice
Brand & omni-channel
Story rendered consistently in every format an LLM might cite.
LAYER 03
The Kernel
RevOps & HubSpot admin
Source of truth every agent calls first. Clean, opinionated, agent-ready.
LAYER 04
The Agents
AI consulting & co-pilots
Autonomous teammates running on the kernel.

Chat as the interface, not the bolt-on.

Most B2B chat experiences are a fancier contact form. The 2026 user expects something different: a chat that holds context, knows what page they're on, can resolve who they are, and gives an answer the AI agent on their behalf would give.

We design these as primary interfaces — not bolt-ons. Every flow is scripted as a system. Every reply is grounded in your kernel. Routing to humans happens only when the conversation legitimately needs one. Distinct from Conversational Marketing (which lives in Layer 02 and is about chatbots/lead capture); this is the chat-first product surface itself.

The process.

PHASE01

Discover · intents + edge cases

Map what users ask, what they shouldn't need to ask, and the unhappy paths. Categorize by intent and confidence threshold.

PHASE02

Expose · conversation design

Each flow is scripted as a system. Voice matches your brand-as-prompt. Edge cases handled deliberately, not improvised.

PHASE03

Wire · build + integrate

Built on HubSpot Chat or your existing platform. Connected to the kernel for context. LLM-augmented where it adds value, scripted where determinism matters more.

PHASE04

Operate · monitor + tune

Transcripts reviewed weekly. Flows iterate on what users actually do rather than what the launch plan assumed.

Chat that holds up under inspection.

OUT 01
A live conversational surface
On your site, in your product, or in your customer portal. Wired to your kernel. Routes to humans correctly.
OUT 02
Replies grounded in the kernel
Every answer traces to your data and your voice system — no invented pricing, no generic-bot register.
OUT 03
Handoffs that keep the context
When a human takes over, they see the whole conversation and the user's account. Nobody repeats themselves.
OUT 04
A transcripts review cadence
The unhappy paths get a weekly read, so one broken flow never runs for a month.

Things people ask before booking.

How is this different from Conversational Marketing?

Conversational Marketing is about lead capture and chatbot-style customer service — a Layer 02 (Voice) engagement. Conversational UI is the chat-first product interface itself — a Layer 01 (Surface) build. Different audience, different deliverable, often complementary.

Is this AI-driven or rule-based?

Hybrid. Most flows are scripted because scripts behave reliably. Some flows use LLMs where natural language matters more than determinism. We pick per-flow.

Will this replace our SDR or support team?

No — it filters for them. The chat handles the qualification and routing your team was doing manually. Humans spend time on the conversations that genuinely need them.

Do we need to be on HubSpot for this to work?

Strongly preferred. The whole point is that lifecycle data, automation, and reporting all live in one source. We have adapted the model to Salesforce + Pardot and to HubSpot + custom data layers, but timelines double and the kernel is harder to keep clean over time.

What does success look like at 90 days?

For Surface work: priority pages passing CLEAR, citation tracking live from week one, and the first measurable movement in how often AI engines cite you — typically between day 30 and day 90, because indexing runs slow at the start. The site keeps converting the humans it always did; now the agents deciding whether to send them can read it too.

FIG. 06 · WHAT CLIENTS SAY

Why teams pick us for Conversational UI Patterns.

Stellar team - stellar support!

From our very first interaction, it was evident that Josh and the team at Impulse Creative were genuinely invested in understanding our unique requirements. Their team took the time to listen, chat, and even share a few laughs along the way. What truly sets Impulse Creative apart is their incredible speed and efficiency. They didn't just meet deadlines; they surpassed them with flying colours. Whenever we hit a bump in the road, their team was right there, ready to tackle it head-on and find creative solutions. Throughout the entire journey, it felt like we were in this together. Their flexibility and willingness to adapt to our changing priorities made us feel valued and supported every step of the way. Thanks everyone!

LAYER 01 · DIAGNOSTIC

See how conversational ui patterns fits into The Surface.

The diagnostic starts where your buyers do: we walk your live site the way an AI engine reads it, then spend 90 minutes showing you exactly where the surface layer leaks. No slides — just your pages on the screen and a fix list in priority order.
