Content Hub Onboarding.
Most teams use 20 percent of it.
The site is live, posts get published — and Brand Voice is untrained, Content Remix has been opened twice, smart content stops at the homepage hero, and AEO is on the wish list. We advise on how Content Hub should be set up, then build the majority of it live with your team. Diamond Partner, strategy-led, done-with-you.
Content Hub Onboarding is a Layer 03 service.
Every service we offer maps to one of four layers. Content Hub Onboarding sits in the Kernel — the layer that owns revops & hubspot admin.
The CMS, fully switched on.
Content Hub is HubSpot's modern CMS plus the Breeze content tooling on top of it — Brand Voice, AI Blog Writer (Semrush-integrated), Content Remix, smart content, memberships. Most teams use about 20% of it, because the configuration that unlocks the rest is fiddly and never becomes anyone's job.
Our model flips HubSpot's default. Their direct onboarding is consultative coaching — they teach, your team builds. We advise on how Content Hub should be set up, do the slow work off-call, then spend half the engagement building live with your content team. A goal-based client portal carries intake, prep tasks, and recordings so live time goes to strategy and building.
Three things make Content Hub worth doing properly. Brand Voice is the unlock for everything downstream — trained correctly against your real content, it makes Blog Writer, Remix, and the Breeze agents useful instead of generic. AEO foundations are the difference between visibility and invisibility: AI engines cite owned websites in roughly 8% of answers, and the winners have schema, citation patterns, and content density installed. And memberships and smart content stay theoretical without a working pattern — so we build one of each, live.
Content Hub sits at the seam between the Surface and Voice layers: your public website is the surface humans, agents, and AEO crawlers all hit, and Brand Voice is where the Voice layer gets operationalized.
The process.
Strategy · 1 session Pro / 1–2 Enterprise
Recommendations, not how-to. Content strategy and topic clusters, site architecture, SEO plus AEO/GEO readiness (the AEO add-on configured if purchased), Brand Voice definition, memberships and gating, smart-content personalization, content operations and governance, migration plan. Enterprise adds multi-site and multi-language strategy, adaptive testing, serverless and dynamic page architecture, and SSO. You keep the advisory artifact.
Build for you · off-call, async
Heads-down, off-call: theme and template setup, blog setup, SEO foundations (meta, redirects, sitemap), Brand Voice training in HubSpot, smart-content rules, content import scaffolding, membership setup. Enterprise adds multi-language sites, serverless functions and dynamic pages, custom CDN, SSO, and advanced templates.
Build with you · 3 workshops Pro / 5–6 Enterprise
Half the engagement, deliberately. A post published live with AI Blog Writer plus Brand Voice, a Content Remix flow, a landing page, a smart-content module, an SEO pass, and a membership. Enterprise adds an adaptive test, a multi-language variant, a serverless or dynamic CRM-powered page, and an AEO-optimized cluster.
Training · 1 session Pro / 1–2 Enterprise · recorded
Role-based and capped at this tier. Content team: editor, Content Remix, Brand Voice, smart content, SEO tools, publishing. Enterprise adds an admin session on governance, multi-site and multi-language, and adaptive testing. Additional training rolls into the retainer.
What "done" looks like.
Pro runs 4–6 weeks across 5–6 meetings; Enterprise runs 8–12 weeks across 8–10. Build-for-you is async, so live time goes to strategy, workshops, and training.
Things people ask before booking.
HubSpot doesn't require Content Hub onboarding — why buy it?
Right — HubSpot sets no onboarding fee on Content Hub, recommends it, and most partners offer nothing off the shelf. Which is exactly why most Content Hub portals run at 20% capacity. This program is the itemized version of what it takes to switch the platform fully on: Brand Voice, AEO foundations, Remix, memberships, smart content — built live, not left as a checklist.
How is this different from HubSpot's own onboarding?
HubSpot's direct onboarding is consultative coaching: setup guidance, check-ins, homework for your team. Ours is strategy-led and done-with-you: we advise on the architecture, do the slow work off-call, and spend half the engagement building live with your content team. And AEO/GEO readiness is built into the standard program — which almost nobody bundles into onboarding.
What's not included?
Net-new website design and build — this is platform setup, content ops, SEO/AEO foundation, templates, and training, not a website project. Also carved out: imports needing data processing (Data Hub or a dedicated SOW); the HubSpot AEO add-on subscription itself (~$50/mo, a client cost — we advise on it and configure it); sustained content production at scale; and training beyond the session caps, which rolls into the retainer.
What do we save by bundling hubs or committing to a retainer?
The foundation layer is built once, not per hub — so two or more hubs take 10% off the stacked total, and the full suite takes 20%. Sign onboarding alongside a 12-month $2,000/mo fractional admin retainer and the package takes 20% off: Content Hub Pro drops from $3,000 to $2,400, Enterprise from $7,000 to $5,600.
Will this make our site citable by AI engines?
It installs the foundations. AI engines cite owned websites in roughly 8% of answers, and the companies winning that 8% have schema, semantic structure, citation patterns, and content density working together. Onboarding ships the schema, site structure, and an AEO-optimized cluster (Enterprise); sustained citation growth is content work — typically through our Voice services or the retainer.

Not sure whether you need onboarding or a website project? That's a Diagnostic question. Ninety minutes on your surface and kernel — no slides — and you leave with the map and a recommended starting shape.
