FIG. 01 · OVERVIEW

Inbound marketing didn't die. It got commoditized. Most B2B companies run a tired version of it that produces blog posts nobody reads. We run it as a real engine — content the buyer's agents cite, pages they convert on, sequences that don't ghost.

FIG. 02 · WHERE IT LIVES

Inbound Marketing is a Layer 03 service.

Every service we offer maps to one of four layers. Inbound Marketing sits in the Kernel — the layer that owns revops & hubspot admin.

LAYER 01
The Surface
Websites & customer portals
Public interface — read by humans, agents, AEO crawlers.
LAYER 02
The Voice
Brand & omni-channel
Story rendered consistently in every format an LLM might cite.
LAYER 03
INBOUND MARKETING LIVES HERE
The Kernel
RevOps & HubSpot admin
Source of truth every agent calls first. Clean, opinionated, agent-ready.
LAYER 04
The Agents
AI consulting & co-pilots
Autonomous teammates running on the kernel.

A real inbound engine.

The 2014 inbound playbook said: blog three times a week, gate the eBook, nurture the email. The mechanics still work, but the buyer journey changed. The buyer's agent reads your content before the buyer ever does. The blog post that doesn't get cited doesn't get clicked.

We run inbound as a kernel-level program. Every piece of content compounds in citations. Every page is wired through HubSpot. Every conversion path is named, measured, and tied to revenue. When a piece doesn't earn citations or pipeline, the report says so.

The process.

PHASE01

Discover · program audit

What's working, what's slop, where the kernel is leaking. Identify the highest-leverage 90 days.

PHASE02

Expose · 90-day plan

Content calendar. Conversion paths. Sequence rebuilds. Reporting overhauls. All scoped against L1 → L3 in 90 days.

PHASE03

Wire · run the program

Content shipped on cadence. Paths wired. Sequences live. Lead scoring real. Sales sees real MQLs.

PHASE04

Operate · monthly delivery + executive reporting

Recurring engagement. Monthly executive review. Quarterly kernel audit so it doesn't drift.

Inbound that actually compounds.

OUT 01
A live content engine
Blog, premium content, video, email. Shipped on cadence. CLEAR-passing. Citations growing.
OUT 02
Conversion paths per persona
One path each. End-to-end. Measured visit → close.
OUT 03
A clean reporting layer
Pipeline attribution. Lifecycle progression. Nobody re-runs the numbers in a spreadsheet first.
OUT 04
A program your team can run
Documented playbooks. Templates. Standards. The IP we leave behind.

Things people ask before booking.

Is this just inbound 1.0 with a new name?

The mechanics overlap, but the architecture is different. We run it as a kernel-level program — content that compounds in citations, paths wired through HubSpot, attribution that ties to revenue. The 2014 version didn't have any of that.

How long is the typical engagement?

12 months. The first quarter is cleanup and L3. Quarters 2–4 are compounding. The compounding is what makes inbound work.

Do we need to be on HubSpot for this to work?

Strongly preferred. The whole point is that lifecycle data, automation, and reporting all live in one source. We have adapted the model to Salesforce + Pardot and to HubSpot + custom data layers, but timelines double and the kernel is harder to keep clean over time.

What does success look like at 90 days?

Most kernel engagements move you from L1 (Disconnected) to L3 (Instrumented) inside one quarter. That means: clean kernel, working assistants, teams trust the numbers. L4 and L5 are where the compounding starts. L3 is where the pain stops.

Can you work alongside our existing agency?

Often, yes. We frequently handle Layer 03 (Kernel — paths, automation, reporting) while another shop owns Layer 02 (brand & content). The Diagnostic is the cleanest way to scope where we plug in without stepping on anyone's work.

LAYER 03 · DIAGNOSTIC

See how inbound marketing fits into The Kernel.

Ninety minutes inside your portal beats a discovery deck. We come in with a hypothesis about where your kernel breaks, check it against the real data model, and hand you a one-page map of what to fix first.
